How can you help with my depression?
I will listen without judgment and help you explore, acknowledge and accept your feelings. I will support you to find your own ways to cope with what you are going through and suggest different self-care routines.
You will have the space to discuss both past experiences and current challenges in a safe and confidential space. The process of therapy will enable you to delve into and understand the emotions associated with your depression, articulate these feelings effectively, and cultivate new strategies for coping that can enhance your overall wellbeing.
Most often clients realise that minor changes in their daily routine can empower them to do more and this can break the vicious cycle of depression. Having a counsellor by your side, to help you when you feel you’re running out of energy and believe you cannot do it, is the most powerful experience and the first step to change on a route to recovery.
At the end of my treatment, what will I be able to do?
Have better understanding of the vicious cycle of your depression, apply tools to prevent and interrupt the vicious cycle, establish a self-care routine and prevent further episodes, recognise the first signs of any future episodes and seek help, and feel more empowered and content.
