I’m Milena Radovic
I’m Milena Radovic, a BACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist offering therapy in London from warm, welcoming therapy rooms in Clapham and Shoreditch, as well as online.
Whether you feel anxious, overwhelmed, stuck or simply unsure of what needs to change, therapy offers a space where you can feel heard and understood as you make sense of what’s happening.
Identifying patterns in your behaviour, thoughts and feelings allows you to notice what needs to change in order to feel more content and live a more fulfilling life.
What Is the Difference Between Counselling and Psychotherapy?
Counselling and psychotherapy are both talking therapies, and in practice they often overlap. The main differences relate to their scope, depth and duration. Counselling usually focuses on current difficulties over a shorter period, often between 6 and 24 sessions. Psychotherapy, on the other hand, is longer-term and explores the deeper roots of how you think, feel and behave.
Counselling may suit you if you’d like support with something specific that’s affecting you now, such as stress, a relationship difficulty or a loss, while Psychotherapy may be more appropriate if you notice recurring unhelpful patterns in your behaviour, thoughts and emotions, or you would like to know how your early life experiences contribute to the current presenting issues. Oftentimes, a seemingly current problem can stem from a past event and unresolved emotional difficulties, making counselling and psychotherapy overlap, therefore, work naturally shifts between addressing immediate concerns and exploring deeper underlying issues.
My approach is flexible and adapts to your needs, allowing us to work at your pace. You don’t need to know exactly what you need or have the right words to explain it. You simply need to be willing to begin. If you would like to explore whether working together might be right for you, you are welcome to book a free initial consultation.
How I Can Help: My Approach to Therapy
As a trained counsellor and psychotherapist, I work in an integrative way. This means I draw on different evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioural, psychodynamic and mindfulness-based techniques, and tailor them to your needs. I believe that every person’s experience is unique, so I don’t apply a one-size-fits-all approach.
My focus is on strengthening your self-awareness and helping you understand your emotions, thoughts and behaviours, so you can feel more content and in control of your life.
If you like working with goals, we’ll collaboratively map an action plan to help you get what you need from therapy. This may involve trying out new behaviours, or having practical tools to deal with day-to-day challenges.
If you’d rather just have the space to reflect, we can simply be curious. This may involve exploring your past, your early experiences and their impact on your present, as well as finding ways to overcome challenges and move on. Other times, we may just sit in silence.
Therapy is an ongoing and dynamic process. We will regularly review how you feel and whether you’re getting what you need from our sessions and, therefore, adjust our work as your needs evolve.

How I Can Help
As a trained counsellor, I use different evidence-based techniques and approaches. I focus on strengthening self-awareness, understanding emotions, thoughts and behaviours; helping you feel more content and in control of your life.
For those clients that prefer working with goals, we work collaboratively to develop an action plan to help you achieve what you need from therapy. This may involve trying out new behaviours, or having practical ‘tools’ to deal with day to day challenges, including anxiety, low self-esteem, stress or anything else.
For those who prefer just having the space to reflect, we can just be curious. This may involve exploration of your past, early experiences and their impact on your present as well as finding ways to overcome any challenges and help you move on in your life. Other times, we may just sit in silence.
As you progress through therapy, we periodically review and evaluate how you feel and whether you’re getting what you need from our sessions. This may involve discussing your experiences and challenges within the therapeutic space, assessing your movement toward your goals, and making any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan.
——
Ultimately, we all go through mental health difficulties at some point in our lives either due to loneliness, stress, relationship issues, loss or something else. Maybe you feel despair and hopelessness, or you recognise unhelpful patterns in your thinking and behaviour that make you feel stuck in repetitive cycles.
Most of the time, we can bounce back, but sometimes we can’t and may need a bit of help.
Waiting too long and hoping that we can suffer alone can trigger panic attacks, anxiety, depression or other presenting issues. Reaching out is not a sign of weakness but an important step to getting back on track.

“I’ve been working with Milena for 3 years, & I honestly don’t know where I’d be without her. When we started, I was overwhelmed by anxiety & now, thanks to her care & guidance, I feel in control, grounded & so much more self-aware.”
About Me: Your Psychotherapist in London
I founded Reconnectify in 2019. My own path into counselling was challenging in many ways and took a lot of effort, commitment and self-growth. Personal life experiences are a big part of why I became a counsellor. Before starting my private practice, I worked for over five years with London mental health charities, as well as in NHS IAPT services (now called NHS Talking Therapies) and the private mental health sector.
Many of my clients have wondered whether they are “normal”, why they feel the way they do, or what their experiences might mean about who they are. I don’t believe that you need to fit into a particular mould to be worthy of acceptance. I believe in individuality, and my aim is to help you develop a kinder, more accepting relationship with yourself.
